This book was formatted well for an early chapter book; colorful pictures on each page, accompanied by few words on each. It was definitely an easy read for early readers; It would make them feel like they read a whole book without being overwhelmed.BUT I picked it because it was a football story, and my son loves anything football. Instead of focusing on football, the story focused on the "lesson" of not rushing through your work. I was very disappointed in the lack of storyline.

My son loved this book. He just started reading chapter books and still needs ones with some illustrations. It grabs his interest with the sports theme and bold colorful graphics as well as having a great message. Great book and I highly recommend it.
